But it seems they've put the card games behind them. And to think that's what made freeverse special.

Hearts on the iPad with gamecenter support... it wouldn't get any better... and it would make freeverse a ton of money, so I'm not sure why they aren't doing it.

I agree completely. It occurred to me that I didn't have Hearts on my iPad so I just went directly to the Freeverse website. Based on the review in the app store there really isn't a great Hearts game, so I was really disappointed to find they're not going to make one. Bummer. Hope they reconsider, so take this as my vote for the Freeverse card games to make it to the iOS devices.

You can use a VNC client on your iPad to view and control what is on your Mac, including 3D Hearts. One I use is Edovia's Screens app:

There are other VNC clients as well. Search for VNC on the iTunes store.

Hearts Deluxe made the Lion kill list.  While I fully understand the reason for it, I really think that Freeverse should do something to keep Hearts Deluxe alive; after all it was their very first game -- and I think I have a copy or two of the very first release of it. Don't remember whether it was 1 .0 or 0.something, but it was the start.

Come to think of it, what I would really like more than an update of the current Hearts Deluxe for Lion, I'd love to see that original loveably clunky release somehow made to live again!

Of course, I'd also be happy to see iPad versions of Hearts Deluxe and some of the other older Freeverse games.  Ah, well...

I totally agree Larry. I also think it would be a mistake not to port the game to iPad/iPhone. Saying that the games will not be continued (even in Windows form) could see the end of Freeverse, which would be a great shame. The games they have now do not interest me at all...

I agree also... In fact.. I LOVED all of the card games the most. Pitch, Euchre, Hearts.. and the game community. Wish it existed on either Lion or iPad
