As some of you may have noticed, Flick Fishing Free 1.2 has just gone live :)
A lot of the changes are under the hood to fix bugs (like ads getting stuck in the wrong place when played upside down) but I did manage to get a couple of relevant new features in that were destined for the big 1.3 update.
Firstly, there's a new location called Bluer Deeper. This is set between Blue Deeps and Waves of Doom and is a premier fishing spot where only the larger sport fish tend to gather. This makes it a great place to catch Marlin and Swordfish. We're working on more new locations for 1.3, but Bluer Deeper was able to be snuck in due to its similarity in resources to Blue Deeps. Note that Bluer Deeper will only be accessible when you're playing online.
Buckles the named Sailfish has also made his way into Flick Fishing Free now, and you should notice we've finally managed to get the named fish leaderboards up and running in FFF :)
A TapJoy button has been added to the map if you want to earn a few more doubloons downloading apps and we've finally got iAds working so hopefully even though we're still relying on advertising to make up a lot of our revenue on Flick Fishing Free, at least some of them will be a bit more tasteful ;)
We're working hard on the 1.3 update for sometime in the new year with proper new locations (ie Adam's actually having to draw stuff ;) ), more fish, more collectibles and a brand new game mode. Also, if any of it actually works, Flick Fishing Paid players should see it filtering into their games too.

WooHoo! What a Christmas present! Thanks Aaron! I look forward to playing the new update.
Merry Christmas to you and Adam.
And a Happy New Year! :D
Amethyst: The TapJoy doubloons won't show up until the game restarts fully (ie you see the loading sequence). There's details on this forum thread on how to get them to work..

It's a minor glitch that will be fixed in the next update.
Strange. Have you actually launched the apps you've downloaded? (it requires them to be launched to register the download)
Strange. That could be some issue with TapJoy and iOS 3. I'm assuming latest iOS 3 on early iPod/iPhone and non jailbroken?
Right. very odd. I'll check into it and see if I can find anything out. In the meantime, try the classic "power off, power on" trick just in case it's a low memory issue.
