hi on my plus + account i have a score of 1480/1480 with all the fish in the game caught including all named fish (12) caught, many of them more than once.it also says im level 17 experienced! but 230/250.why is this??when i look at other ppls score/rating they are level 20 advanced and have scores 2190/2190 or more??how do i get my scores higher and a better rating???all my fish are in my awards on plus + so this would mean they are registered correctly and all done online or when plus+ was on.everything is also checked off with a green tick.i have won all trophys on normal and extreme and completed the quest tasks which this also says ive done in my plus+ account.the ONLY thing i have not played is the fish nett option of going online against other ppl .is this how you build your scores up and will this get my rating to level 20 advanced.your advice would be more than greatfull as i dont know what im missing which is annoying.

cheers, steve

Steve, your plus+ level is a combination of all your plus+ awards in all games that participate in plus+ (there are many), not just Flick Fishing. For example, awards in "Skee-Ball" (another Freeverse game) also add to your level points. Your 230/250 means that you have 230 points in level 17 and if you get 20 more points, you graduate to level 18. I'm level 19 with 150/250 points. My plus+ username is "SharkNose". Anybody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's how plus+ works. My score in Flick Fishing is 1280/1305. I still have some named fish to catch and a pesky barracuda that needs to weigh more than 412.5 lbs! I think you have the maximum score in Flick Fishing... Good Job!

cheers andrew for the reply cause i would never of guessed that about the other freeserve games with plus+  because ive played them.but i will now.ha.as for the big barracuda be on extreme and use the tasty bait option because there bigger that way but the downside is they fight ya all the way.but if you have caught bazzacuda?prob 2nd hardest fish in game for me  then a big barracuda shouldnt give you too much grief just be patient reeling him in or you could use the  auto slip reel for extra backup.cast 204-208ft bait fish on the right hand side of beach as you see it

so thanks again andrew and good look on ya fishing

Thanks for the tips, Steve. I don't have Bazzacuda yet, but I'll bet I've hooked him several times! I just haven't developed the knack (nor the patience) for those really big fish. The line keeps snapping on me. I don't like auto-slip really because I'll reel in 20 ft. and then the auto-slip will kick in and I'll lose 90 ft.! I get frustrated when I can't seem to get the line below 600 ft. very often.

hi again,as for the auto slip reel you shouldnt really need to use it when reeling in thats just for when the fish decides to do a really big run and puts full tension on the line out of nowhere.i always keep the tension in the middle if possible. there are a couple of tips which you probably are aware of,really only matters on the big named fish

1st never reel in when the fish strength is jumping about cause you wont get anywhere other than having to let go and losing many ft.just reel slow and stop immediatley when it bounces(granted you cant do this all the time but you can get into a pattern on this especially as it weakens,

2nd as soon as it finishes jumping about you have a 2sec gap on most fish to do a full 360 degree reel in which is about 8ft at a time but you have to do this as fast a possible then wait for it to jump about again and repeat,ok its not always that simple but with a bit of trial and error you will start to get them in.

barracuda, big pike, swordfish have similar jumping patterns compared to other fish as they jump about more often but if you keep up the pattern they will weaken after 5-10 mins maybe a bit longer depending on size.if your not reeling in when its jumping dont forget you must let some line out or the fishing escapes this still acts as if your fishing even though your not reeling in.

just out of intrest the smiling inigo took me about 1.5hrs to land which was a bitch on the arm ha but wasnt going to let him beat me after mamy many attemps with line snapping, all other fish well under an hour to land.the smiling inigo i caught i got  to 160ft after an hour 15 mins then it went back to the dreaded 632ft which i thought was a joke but after his last big run it took maybe 10-5 mins to get landed not like the rest of his fight.and make sure you tell everyone not to text you when fishing for the big ones cause you 8/10 times you lose the fish trying to get the message off the screen which is a nightmare if your 30mins into a fish ,i could of dumped my lass many times for this lol

omg soz for the essay but hope it helps or encourages you to keep trying

:D Fortunately, Steve, I'm fishing on an iPod Touch and not an iPhone, so the only message I get while fishing is the "Battery Low" message! I'll keep your hints in mind the next time I'm going for the big ones.

Since this post talks a little about plus+ i wanted to ask about the most fish of the day caught leader board. Are there really users catching that many. Right now the 25th place has caught 1869762609. I have to believe that is a mistake somewhere. There are users with more than that and they are rated as a rookie. Can someone shed some light on this? I am at level 17 experienced level with 1134 fish of the day caught.
